Gone Too Far Out Exclusively On iTunes Today
Tuesday, March 17th, 2009
My new single with Sizzla is out today exclusively on iTunes worldwide. It’s getting some heat on the homepage under “What’s Hot,” as well as being featured as an “Indie Spotlight.” Last but not least it’s getting top bar treatment in the Reggae section, so we’ve pretty much got every angle covered. Please give it a listen and consider supporting – it’s the first release on my new label Mixpak Records. Mixpak has a number of new projects in the works…so keep your eyes and ears open.
Bonus news: Underworld dutifully reports their “Gone Too Far” listenership in a recent blog post. Maximum respect!

Supernature Unruly Takeover
Monday, January 19th, 2009
This Saturday I’m bringing up Baltimore Club legends Scottie B, Chavy Boys, King Tutt and Shawn Caesar to play Supernature. Unruly Records is the legendary Baltimore Club label–check their discography–and Supernature is an all ages warehouse party that presents heavy hitting DJs in an exciting, anything goes, underground environment. Prepare for all manner of unruliness.
New Orleans Club Culture
Monday, December 22nd, 2008
I was down in New Orleans last week hanging out with Katey Red and Big Freedia soaking up some new Bounce music and getting deep in the clubs. Thursday night was Platinum 3000, Friday was Club Ceasars in West Bank and Saturday was Rocka Fella 2.5.

Freedia has a new track out called “Get Back” which you can grab from nolabounce.com where I’ve written my first post. If you like Bounce, it’s a great place to check for tracks – take a look.
Here’s some video I shot of Freedia rocking the crowd at Caesar’s. It’s shot with my still camera so its pretty dark, but you can hear the crowd getting wild.
Another track getting a lot of club spins is ”Hamma Tyme” by Monster.
Even bigger than “Hamma Tyme” is “Hut Hut” which I believe is also by Monster. I don’t have the mp3 at the moment, but I’ll post it when I can. You can listen to a clip here,
I’m currently putting the finishing touches on the Sissy Nobby single I produced. Be on the lookout for that in first quarter 09. I just got the DJ Sega remix this week and it’s bangin!

Asian Tour: The Second Half Recap
Wednesday, November 26th, 2008
After leaving Japan, I flew to Shanghai where I had two days off before heading to Hong Kong. This was just over three weekends back. In Hong Kong I played Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy with Kid Fresh, DJ Enso and Bananas Sound System. I love Hong Kong! Whether taking outdoor, moving walkways up cityscape mountains or sleeping in the lounge rooms of a tattoo shops, the city always works for me. Back to the party though, pimpin, as they say, is never easy and thus, mid-party, cue the cops. Something like vice squad raided the club, proceeded to shut the music down and started taking some names. After some heckling and some hecklers being confronted, the cops were hustled out of the club, and the party kicked back to life. No harm done aka I was still able to drop The Launch, etc. All in all it was a fun party.
Close Calls In Thailand
Tuesday, November 25th, 2008
I flew out of Bangkok today just hours before protestors stormed the airport and effectively shut it down. It’s worth reading up on the turbulent history of coups in Thailand and it will interesting to see what happens with this unrest. I made it to Europe and will post an Asian Tour recap soon.
Switch & Sinden Present Get Familiar: FabricLive 43
Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

I’m really excited to announce that FabricLive 43 presented by Switch and Sinden and mixed by Sinden features the Juiceboxxx and Dre Skull single Center Stage. In fact, Center Stage is the first track on the mix! As Sinden describes, “I decided to make a very current, present-day CD, there aren’t too many old classics or throwbacks; it’s really about what’s going on in clubland right now. It’s just future jams…”
The mix drops on December 1st.
Chinese Television
Tuesday, November 11th, 2008
Working on tracks and hanging out in Shanghai this week and have become transfixed by a popular television show here called Monkey King. Watch this episode to see what’s what. Someone let the Cul N Sweet kids know about this. Last weekend in Hong Kong was amazing – that might be my favorite city among all cities. Thanks to Kid Fresh, DJ Enso and Bananas Sound System…pictures soon.
