Juiceboxxx And Dre Skull “Hype” Out Now

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

The final single in the Juiceboxxx and Dre Skull trilogy is out now on iTunes.

“Hype” is a timeless burst of electronic energy music bookended by bursts of new age synth ecstasy. Not since the days of the KLF has a duo been able to combine stadium level rap dance with 3AM ambient house so convincingly.

Make sure to check for the remixes by Sinden, Udachi and Dre Skull.

Juiceboxxx And Dre Skull Trilogy

Juiceboxxx Dre Skull Hype Record Cover
(via Vicious Pop)

Starting getting EXTREMELY HYPED, IMMEDIATELY because on October 6, 2009 Juiceboxxx and Dre Skull drop their brand new single and the last of their futuristic disco 12″ trilogy! “Hype” has been a long time coming and features remixes by Sinden and Dre Skull as well as an exclusive digital-only remix from Udachi. The cover art is classic Juice & Dre, all bloody cyborgs and outer space, which is a pretty good indication of the sound of this new monster track. Keep your eye balls peeled for track’s debut, who knows where it will pop up first…

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Rave ain’t dead.

Vybz Kartel Yuh Love Video Still
Here’s a bit of a recent news round up.

“Yuh Love” has landed on the Grindin Charts which keeps things three for three with my recent releases (check the previous showings for “Gone Too Far” and “I Want You”). Full chart below.

Meanwhile, “Yuh Love” is also staying in the iTunes Top Reggae songs charts three weeks in and is #2 on the Turntable Lab Best Selling Charts. Across the pond, Sinden has been supporting “Yuh Love” on Kiss FM and Rob Da Bank is following suit on BBC Radio 1. Down in Jamaica, Kartel recently wrapped shooting the “Yuh Love” video which should be done in a few weeks (that’s a video still above).

Also, Bok Bok has just released a white label 12″ with his Dre Skull “I Want You (Bok Bok VIP Dub)” on the A side. That’s the dub of the recent remix he did for Mixpak. Bok Bok & L-Vis 1990 team up for “Wake Up Early” on the flip. Very solid release, grab the white here.

I’m in the studio this week trying to finish the long delayed collaborative EP with New Orleans Bounce MC Gotty Boi Chris. It’s been on the backburner for too long — I think I’ve had these tracks half done for over a year now — but this WILL be released this fall. Stay tuned.

FabricLive 43FabricLive 43
I’m really excited to announce that FabricLive 43 presented by Switch and Sinden and mixed by Sinden features the Juiceboxxx and Dre Skull single Center Stage. In fact, Center Stage is the first track on the mix! As Sinden describes, “I decided to make a very current, present-day CD, there aren’t too many old classics or throwbacks; it’s really about what’s going on in clubland right now. It’s just future jams…”

The mix drops on December 1st.
