Reggae Picks 22 Hosted by Shifta
If you’re familiar with The Drama King DJ Kay Slay then you’re probably up on the Streetsweepers mixtape series. The latest release in the series is “Reggae Picks 22″ hosted by Shifta and mixed by DJ Scope. If you check that tracklist, you’ll see that they included a run of Skull Riddim versions voiced by Sizzla (”Gone Too Far”), Shifta, Lyrical and Vybz Kartel.

The Fader has coverage of the recent Skull Riddim activity in Eddie Stats’ Ghetto Palms column – including a downloadable riddim blend of versions and dubs from Shifta, Crossovah, Lyrical, Natalie Storm and Vybz Kartel. Also, Stats’ turned in a great, live on two turntables mix for reggae blog Seen’s latest podcast. Be sure to grab that (and to check back every week).

Also, Skull Riddim has been showing up all over Youtube. Check a few of these blends.

77Klash in the studio
So I’ve been slowly getting some dubs and new songs on the Skull Riddim which should be going out to the world soon…

Last night 77Klash came through and voiced a proper new anthem. If you don’t know, Klash is a Brooklyn-based deejay and producer who’s staying way out ahead of the game.

Check his video for “Mad Again.”

Gone Too Far iTunes Reggae
My new single with Sizzla is out today exclusively on iTunes worldwide. It’s getting some heat on the homepage under “What’s Hot,” as well as being featured as an “Indie Spotlight.” Last but not least it’s getting top bar treatment in the Reggae section, so we’ve pretty much got every angle covered. Please give it a listen and consider supporting – it’s the first release on my new label Mixpak Records. Mixpak has a number of new projects in the works…so keep your eyes and ears open.

Bonus news: Underworld dutifully reports their “Gone Too Far” listenership in a recent blog post. Maximum respect!
